Start with the right information
The fastest quotations come from complete inputs. Before you ask for a price, prepare: building dimensions (length × width × eave height), intended use, local wind/snow/seismic conditions, door and window requirements, and your nearest sea port. With these, a serious manufacturer can return preliminary drawings and a firm quotation within 72 hours.
Understand the quotation
Steel building quotations are normally quoted per square meter or per ton. Ask what is included: engineering, anchor bolts, cladding, gutters, flashings, fasteners — a low price that excludes secondary steel is not a low price. Insist on a Bill of Quantities that lists tonnage by component type.
Incoterms and shipping
Most buyers choose FOB, CFR or CIF. Steel buildings ship as knocked-down bundles in 40'HC containers; a 5,000 m² warehouse typically fills 12–20 containers. Confirm your country's import duties and whether your port has cranes for heavy bundles.
Installation: supervision or full crew?
Two options work well: (1) your local contractor erects with our drawings, video guidance and one supervisor; (2) we send a full erection crew. Budget 25–35 days for a 5,000 m² warehouse either way. Ask for reference projects in your country before signing.
Payment terms that protect both sides
Standard terms are 30% deposit with order and 70% against copy of B/L. For first orders, an LC at sight is common. Never pay 100% upfront; a factory confident in its quality won't ask you to.
